DO I NEED TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?
Yes. No booking will be made without a deposit.
The deposits are as follows:
Body Piercings - £10 per piercing
Laser Tattoo Removals - £10 for any treatment of or under £40
- £15 for any treatment over £40
If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or are a no show, your deposit will not be refunded and a non refundable, 50% deposit will be required upon booking your next session.
All deposits are non refundable, however, if you give us more than 24 hours notice, your appointment may be rescheduled ONCE and within 1 month of the original appointment, with your deposit.
If you require a check up, this is completely free and a downsize (or upsize) is £10.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Due to the small size of the studio, you are welcome to bring one other friend/family member/partner to accompany you, unless you are under 18 you WILL require a legal guardian.
CAN I USE NUMBING CREAM?
We do not recommend the use of any numbing creams on the area being pierced. Numbing creams can distort the tissue, resulting in uneven piercings.
If you show to your appointment with numbing cream on the area, you may be turned away with will result in the loss of your deposit.
Are children allowed in the studio?
No. Children under 12 are not permitted to be in the studio whilst the parent/guardian are receiving a body piercing, laser tattoo removals, a piercing consultation, jewellery changes or jewellery removals. If you attend your appointment with a minor, you may be turned away and may lose your deposit and appointment. This is due to our insurance policy and is out of our control. Children may enter the studio if you are browsing the gifts and are closely watched by a guardian.
How old do I have to be to get a piercing?
You can find all of our age restrictions in the Body Piercing section. PLEASE READ https://newmoon13.co.uk/piercing-price-list if you come to or bring a minor that is underage for the piercing being carried out to the appointment, you will lose your deposit.
Do I need to bring ID with me?
You may be asked for ID if you look under 18.
If you are under 18 and have a legal guardian with you, both may be asked for ID.
Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Passport
- Drivers/provisional license
- Any ID that has the PASS hologram
If you are unsure, just send us an email and we can help you.
If you and the minor have different last names, please do let us know so we can help you on the forms of ID to bring with you.
If you do not inform us and you come to your appointment, both with ID that we cannot accept, or without ID completely, you will lose your deposit, so please ask if you're unsure.
How old do I have to be to have laser tattoo removal treatment?
18+ ID may be required.
Can I take pictures/videos?
Usually yes. However, we do ask that you be respectful and ask first. Videos can be off-putting for both the client and piercer so please ask.
Do I have to make an appointment?
Yes. At the moment we are appointment only. We are not accepting walk ins at this time. All bookings require a deposit.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash or card.
Can I get a piercing/laser tattoo removal if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We will not pierce or give laser treatment to anyone who is either pregnant or breastfeeding.
Any time you get a piercing or laser tattoo removal, you run the risk of infection which can harm your child.
We feel that it is not worth the risk and will advise you to book in once you have given birth and finished breastfeeding.
When can I go swimming after getting a piercing/ laser tattoo removal?
We recommend waiting a minimum of 3 months or ideally until the piercing is fully healed or 4 weeks for laser tattoo removals, before submerging it in any bodies of water that contain bacteria or chemicals. If you submerge a fresh or healing piercing/laser removal into a body of water such as lakes, rivers, pools, the ocean etc, there is a risk of infection.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, PLEASE READ!!!
Please come to your appointment on time. We are appointment only so if you are early, you may have to wait outside. If you're unsure, there will either be a sign board in the doorway or a hanging sign on the door window asking you to wait. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment will be rescheduled or cancelled and you may lose your deposit. We only have one piercer and sometimes are working to a back to back schedule so please be thoughtful and come to your appointment on time or let us know if you're running late.
If you forget your ID, miss your appointment by more than 10 minutes or are a no show, your deposit will not be refunded.
If you have booked in for a piercing, and we can not go ahead with the piercing due to anatomy, you may receive a deposit refund or put your deposit towards a different piercing.
Please disclose any medication or illnesses, before booking in, that may affect the piercing process or may require a doctors note before booking.
Please note that we have a right to turn any potential client away if they have an illness/virus etc that we think may put the client or ourselves at risk by carrying out the procedure.
We also have the right to turn any potential client away that is rude, unhygenic, drunk, on drugs or make us feel uncomfortable or unsafe in any way.
We always advise making sure your jewellery is screwed/pushed on tight, as attachments can become loose when cleaning, sleeping etc. This is stated on the consent forms, aftercare forms and verbally. Once you leave the studio, it is your responsibility to ensure your jewellery is on nice and tight. If you lose your jewellery and need it re fitting, please note that there is a small charge for this to cover the costs of equipment used.
Be prepared to spend money on recommended aftercare products (NeilMed is £9 if bought from us) and jewellery upsizing or downsizing if needed. Some piercings will need more than one downsize, some may need to be upsized in a rare occasion. This will ensure your piercing heals the best it can. Of course, we try and keep this charge to a minimum. We offer NeilMed Piercing Aftercare.
Please note that if you have mis informed us of any ages, medical information etc, your deposit is non refundable.
